The bar is full of character so expect a cosy setting, great drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere that feels more like a hidden house party, more than a standard function room.
We can help you organise food through one of our amazing Oswestry-based food vendors, like Amber's Pizza, Urban Grillhouse or Lepone's.
But if you prefer your own catering, we understand that too, we'll get the tables ready, you just make sure nan is available to make the cheese and onion butties! Haha!

There’s no fixed package price — you choose how big or relaxed you want to go, that bit is completely on you.
We can get out the Dom Pérignon or just pop open the Prosecco, we can order in pizza from Naples or just get nan to do the cooking, we can call upon Elton John or just download his album on Spotify ;)

Minimum Bar Spend
You must be thinking this is all too good to be true!?
Well, we have to get you somewhere haha! We do require that all parties that book for full exclusivity, meet a very light minimum spend.
This isn't your personal spend, but the spend of all your guests combined.
Over the 7 years of doing this, we calculate most guests will spend around £30 per head at your event, however there are some tight ones out there too ;) & drivers, so take this into consideration. Example 50 guests @ £20 spends is £1,000.
Below are our minimum requirements........
Friday Nights: £1,000 Spends
Saturday Afternoon: £500 Spends
Saturday Night: £1,500 Spends
Sunday Afternoon: £300 Spends
And if your guests don't meet the spends? We hunt you down!...........Haha! Joking aside, we simply double the hire fee, or you pay the difference of what has not been spent on the bar (whichever is less for you).
Just FYI; In all the years of hosting, we've only ever had two parties not make the minimums, and they weren't really parties, just gatherings.
Arrival Drinks Packages
Oh...... and if you fancy splashing the cash on your guests yourselves on arrival, we will take any drinks package purchases off the spends too. We can't have it both ways right!?

Other costs to consider....
We try to work with all of our party/event organisers to make things run as smooth as possible, but sometimes things happen and we get that.
We do have a damage policy, where the organiser is responsible for any damage caused by them or their guests whilst the event is happening.
We've never had to use it but it's there to keep us all safe.
Secondly, if the party is an 18th or 21st birthday, we ask that there are responsible adults or family over the age of 30 on site during the party at all times. If that isn't the plan, we would request our door staff are on shift, at the cost of the organiser.

FAQs
- How many people can the bar hold?
Up to 120 in the summer (extra outdoor space) 80/100 in winter, but let us know the event and we'll help you with maximum capacity.
- If we book a Saturday afternoon, what times do we have the bar from and until?
Saturday Afternoons: These are becoming really popular, the hire time can start as early as 12pm but we recommend around a 1pm or 2pm arrival. You will have the venue private until 6.30pm, and we wont even kick you out ;) Officially your hire will finish at 6.30pm, but 99% of the time they run into the early evening, like 7.30/8ish. We will open to the public at 6.30pm, and initially seat new customers upstairs or outside, whilst you're still mingling. We will help remove any massive bits of decor, maybe change the music, but essentially we love it when parties stay later with us (unless we have another booking, then we do have to kick you out) haha.
Friday Nights: From 5pm - Midnight (we recommend guests start arriving around 6.30pm/7pm
Saturday Nights: Our Saturday night parties start with an arrival time of 7/7.30pm, this can be made earlier if we don't have an afternoon booking, or we can look at a small, additional hire fee, depending on the type of event, if you do want to guarantee an earlier start time.
Sundays: Sunday hire is a bit different, we can open anytime from 11am for you or open in the evening, but we normally get requests for around a 1pm / 2pm arrival on a Sunday.
Other: We don't usually open Knock & Snitch other days of the week, but are of course happy to. We have hosted a wedding on a Wednesday afternoon before; as an example. With other days of the week, simply get in touch and we'll talk you through it.
- Can children attend the parties at anytime?
Yes, if the party is private hire, kids are more than welcome, however please take into consideration that 9pm is usually our cut off for under 18's, unless they are accompanied one-for-one with a responsible adult.

Is the bar fully private?
Yes - unless you say otherwise, however if your party is for less than 40 on a Friday/Saturday evening we may look at a smaller hire fee and open upstairs to the public (with your consent and consideration of course).

Can we choose our own music?
Yes, absolutely, we'll even help you get some prices from local artists if that's the vibe you want! Spotify is on us though ;)

Can we decorate how we want?
Yep, we just ask for no table confetti (they ruin glasswashers) and if using actual confetti/party poppers, there is an additional £50 - £100 cleaning fee depending how heavy you want to go!
- Do we need to pay a deposit?
Upon booking we will ask you to pay a £100 non-refundable deposit to secure your date. The remaining fees will be due one week before your party date.
- Is there disabled access?
Access is via the alleyway on Leg Street (next door to Pizza Bella), the access is flat and paved and we do have a disabled toilet on the ground floor too. Access to the booths and balcony area would be an issue if a guest can not use the stairs, but parties are almost always just on the ground floor and outside. Upstairs is rarely used during a party, but just something to be aware of.
- How long do we have to set up?
We will arrange times for you to come in and set up or decorate based upon what you want to do with the building and the type of event we will be hosting you for. Normally parties will have some access at least two hours before, and event arrival time, but this can be extended if required.
- Is there parking on site?
Sadly, we do not have parking on site, however the main Smithfield Car Park in the centre of Oswestry is only a 3 minute walk away.
